These bikes are called Mopeds because they can be either motor or pedal powered. Light weight frames, pedal starting and two stroke gasoline engines are normal features. Mopeds have long been used for daily transportation in Europe and Asia. Today, Mopeds are gaining popularity in the US. You will find them commuting in the cities or cruising the countryside. Moped groups and clubs world wide are promoting shows, rides and events geared toward moped enthusiasts. You'll find many of them on the Internet, "check 'em out!"
